About Ann Burkhardt
Ann received her BA in Psychology/Biology from Wheaton College (Massachusetts). She earned her Master of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy from New York University; and her post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Creighton University. Her doctoral work focused on Sources of Independence in Community-dwelling Older Adults. Ann has worked in various settings including acute care, cancer care, sub-acute rehabilitation and long-term care, home care, and private practice. Ann also has extensive experience teaching occupational therapy in higher education. She has been a Program Director of a BS/MS program, a post professional Master’s program, a founding director of 2 entry level OTD programs and a Clinical Associate Professor in a Master’s Degree program and a Clinical Associate in an OTA Program.
