About John Dion
John F. Dion, DBA serves as Dean of the School of Management at Russell Sage College. He provides strategic leadership for the School’s undergraduate and graduate programs, focusing on student engagement, program development, and industry partnerships.
Before entering higher education, Dr. Dion spent more than 25 years in global marketing, marketing research, and product development at the LEGO Group and Bose Corporation. He was on the core team that developed LEGO MindStorms, which became one of the company’s most successful products. At Bose, he helped launch the first Bose sound systems offered in Ferrari, Maserati, and Porsche vehicles.
His professional background informs his teaching in strategy, innovation, organizational change, and marketing. He is particularly interested in experiential learning that connects classroom concepts with real-world business practice. Dr. Dion is committed to helping students develop the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly dynamic business environment.
