Turnitin - Plagiarism Prevention Program
Turnitin.com is an online program that students and faculty can use to check papers for instances of plagiarism. Faculty members determine how the information will be used (preventative, instructional and/or punitive). Turnitin.com not only looks for similarity to internet sites and papermills, it also scans thousands of commercial publications, books from some of the largest digital libraries available, and previously submitted papers.
Faculty members can request a login ID and password through the Sage Online department. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone ext: 4580.
Students can setup their own account. All necessary information will be listed on the Moodle homepage.
- Instructor and student quickstart guides are available on the Trunitin.com website
- The Technology Resource Center has links for multimedia tutorials on how to avoid plagiarism, as well as bibliography makers.
