An MBA Program for Unparalleled Professional Development

Individuals with a Master of Business Administration degree are sought for leadership positions in business, government, health care and non-profit organizations.

MBA Classes

As a student in our MBA program, you’ll take advanced classes in finance, marketing, human resources, management information systems, business strategy and executive decision making and you will be able to tailor a concentration to your specific interests.

As you study the many aspects of managing complex organizations, you will learn strategies and skills to implement during a capstone experience, when you and a team of colleagues complete a consulting project for a business, non-profit or government agency.

How Long Does it Take to Get an MBA?

Most students complete our MBA program in three years by attending part time and taking two courses during fall, spring and summer semesters. However, accelerated options are available.

On-Campus Feel, Delivered Online

Our accredited MBA program is convenient for working adults. Classes are held online, asynchronous with some live sessions.

Your online MBA classes will be led by full-time professors with doctorates and by adjuncts who are also directors of state agencies, business-owners and chief officers in financial, health care and technology fields.

And we keep our MBA program small, to allow a level of individual attention that is rare in business school.

Competitive Tuition

Russell Sage College’s MBA program does not charge fees — so when you factor in the fees charged by other MBA programs, you’ll see our tuition is competitive. We also have two discount programs — the Health Alliance Agreement and Businesses for a Better Sage — which offer a 10% percent discount on tuition and deferred billing.

Careers with a Master of Business Administration

Graduates of Sage’s MBA program work in state government and health care, manufacturing and service-based organizations. They lead technology companies and run mission-driven nonprofits.

Recent employers include Louis Vuitton; Ayco financial services; Humana managed care; General Electric; Global Foundries; the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, Department of Health, Division of the Budget and Office of the Comptroller; and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.

Graduates of Sage’s MBA program have also been accepted to the highly-selective New York State Excelsior Service Fellowship program and to competitive doctoral programs in business.

Real World Content and Connections

As a student in Russell Sage College’s MBA program, you will rarely be lectured at. Instead you will learn through case studies, engaging online discussions and a capstone project with businesses, nonprofits or government agencies.

You’ll also network with government and nonprofit leaders, health care, finance and technology executives, and start-up entrepreneurs and small-business owners at optional school-sponsored events like employer panels and weekend-long business-plan intensives.

Program Objectives

Russell Sage College’s 42-credit Master of Business Administration curriculum includes 10 foundation MBA classes, three elective or concentration courses and a capstone experience. You will graduate with the skills, knowledge and confidence required for executive roles in government, health care, manufacturing and technology, the nonprofit sector and more.
