Explore our programs by entering the undergraduate or graduate portals, but first, learn more about why Russell Sage is the place to pursue your degree so you can build a career in health care.

Longevity and Connections

Russell Sage’s Nursing program celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2020. And our Physical Therapy program marked 75 years in 2023.

Why does that history matter?

We have deep connections with health care providers in New York state and beyond. And while all this experience has allowed us to time-test what works, we use our connections to stay current on workforce needs and refine our curriculum.

We also leverage our well-established partnerships to secure key clinical experiences and job opportunities for students and graduates.

Russell Sage in the Community

  • Nurse Practitioner students help administer free physicals to the homeless population who need them to secure employment, and Nursing students assist at community vaccination clinics.
  • Nutrition students and faculty conduct research on how to improve summer meal programs for kids in urban communities.
  • Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy students partner with Head Start sites to observe and create mini-intervention plans for identified students, providing resources to their teachers.

An Art and a Science

Professional disposition and your own personal and professional growth are an important part of the journey at Russell Sage.

But you’ll also learn how to use research to shape your professional practice, inform your decision-making, and become a leader. We’ll show you how to become an advocate – for your patients and clients and for your profession.

Affordability

You invest in us, and we invest in you.

We’re among the most affordable private colleges in New York state, and are ranked 15 in the nation for Social Mobility and 35 for Best Value for undergraduates by U.S. News and World Report.

Meanwhile, tuition for our graduate programs is less than most private colleges and universities and is not far off from public institutions in many cases.

Thrive@Russell Sage

If you’re pursuing a path in the health care field, don’t you want to study at a college that cares about wellness and well-being, too?

The Thrive@Russell Sage initiative is a college-wide commitment to the Eight Dimensions of Wellness for our students and employees, as we infuse wellness into the curriculum and into campus activities.

We were also the 11th college or university in the United States to sign The Okanagan Charter, which formalized our membership in the U.S. Health Promoting Campuses Network.

Alumni Network

With all those years of educating health care professionals, we have a network of thousands of proud Russell Sage College alumni, who are willing to open doors for you and welcome you into the profession.
