Administrative:
- Monitor and respond to Academic Support email daily
- Coordinate and maintain tutor scheduling system, including set up schedule and changing tutor hours
- Maintain tutor documentation log
Tutor Coordination:
- Receive and organize tutoring requests
- Match tutors with tutees to accommodate the needs of both
- Assist with tutor training
- Maintain accurate records flow of tutoring sessions
- Communicate regularly with tutors re: tutoring appointments, cancellations, and other items as necessary
Data/Trend Analysis:
- Assist with coordinating regular reports and usage studies for Academic Support
Tutoring and Mentoring:
- Work directly with students to support academic needs, including tutoring, coaching, and referrals to the Director or other services
- Work with Director to create and monitor tutoring and support initiatives, including Academic Support events
- First-year student mentoring

Primary responsibilities include: Assisting the Director of Athletic Communications and the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications with all aspects of the operation of a collegiate sports information office
Specific responsibilities include:
- Serve as the communication source for a select number of teams, which includes but is not limited to preparing pre-game information, post-game news releases, scheduling of photographers and feature story ideas for both the website and media.
- Keep in-game statistics for selected athletic contests.
- Setting up filming equipment for web-streaming athletics events.
- Hiring and assigning student workers to help assist in keeping in-game statistics
- Responds to statistical and other report requirements for the NCAA, intercollegiate opponents, various conference offices, and the media.
- Assists in the publicizing of athletic events.
- Responsible for updating www.SageGators.com, the official online home of Sage Athletics. (A PrestoSports Site).
- Utilizes social media sources including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to promote Sage’s athletic programs, student-athletes, and alumni.
- Assists in supporting the brand of the College by ensuring the use of target messaging in promotional materials, including the website, social media, and promotional and recruitment efforts.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the assistant director of athletics communications and the director of athletics.
- Preference will be given to those with a strong background in photography and graphic design skills.
Position Requirements:
Highly organized, detail-oriented individual; proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite, previous experience in the college athletic setting preferred; ability to work nights and weekends.

The graduate student will function as an instructor of A&P laboratories for Fall and Spring semesters: preparing presentations on concepts, directing students in completion of activities and writing lab reports/activities, creating and grading laboratory quizzes, and setting up office hours for students. The Career and Self-Discovery Center provides graduate assistants with an opportunity to work with Career and Self-Discovery Center staff to meet the career development needs of Sage students. The Career and Self-Discovery Center meets one on one with students and alumni to explore careers, prepare resumes and cover letters, search for jobs/internships, practice interviewing skills, and so much more.
The Graduate Assistants will assist the full time staff with appointments and workshops in and out of classrooms, attend special events and programming, and be of general assistance to the full time staff. Our office meets with hundreds of students and alumni each year.
Graduate Assistants report to the Director/Associate Director of Career and Self-Discovery Center and typically are scheduled to work an average of 10 hours per week. This position offers flexibility with the understanding that there will be adjustments for academic commitments, as approved. All requests to adjust the regular work schedule must be submitted in advance and put in writing. All agreed upon hours must be met with an emphasis on punctuality and full completion of shift.
Duties:
-Career Appointments: Provide students with peer to peer assistance with resume and cover letter writing/development, career exploration and assessments, networking assistance, and searching for internships and jobs.
-Walk-ins: Provide one on one support to students and alumni that wish to revise career documents, search for jobs/internships/volunteer opportunities/ graduate school, and more.
-Office Assistance: Check email daily and provide assistance to office staff on special projects such as research on current trends, presentation and workshop help and development, and website updates.
-Special Events: Coordinate and assist in special event development, planning and implementation; market events to students on Facebook and on campus through flyers and advertisements.
-Career Closet: Assist with the logging and organization of the Career Closet.
-Employer Relations: Graduate Assistants may assist with researching companies, jobs, and internships to post on our internal job database, as well as approve employers’ job and internship postings
-Social Media and Marketing : Assist with and plan social media posts on a regular basis to increase knowledge of events, programs, job/internship openings, tips, and more. In addition to social media posts, the Graduate Assistants may be responsible for assisting in the creation of marketing flyers and posters

The Physics Lab Assistant will meet weekly with the physics lab professor to set up and test the next week’s physics lab and clean up the previous week’s lab. The Physics lab assistant will grade Lab Homework assignments as time allows. Opportunity to teach or co-teach a physics lab is available, depending on GA experience and interest. Weekly labs meet 10-12 times a semester. Previous experience taking an undergraduate physics lab is required.

The Honors Program provides innovative and relevant coursework to academically motivated students. From the recruitment process with Admissions, into the first-year program, and alongside students’ gen ed and major programs, the RSC Honors program enables students to challenge themselves professionally, earn an honors diploma, and engage with other students who share their goals. The graduate assistant for Honors would assist the honors directors with communication and outreach to prospective students, the RSC community, and current honors students (through social media, email blasts, flyers, etc). The graduate assistant also provides a link between the faculty directors and the students in the process of facilitating and growing the honors program. The graduate assistant provides academic and professional support/mentorship to honors students and hosts community events designed to help honors students build community with other students who share the same goals. The graduate assistant also helps directors plan, promote, and host Honors Mixers, Symposia, the Graduate Spring Reception, and other co-curricular opportunities as needed. The graduate assistant regularly communicates with the honors directors to assess current needs, discuss possible solutions, and implement best practices.

Description:
The Opalka Gallery GA is informed about exhibitions, greets visitors, tracks information about the gallery environment and usage, maintains a neat gallery, helps ensure the artwork is safe and secure. In between exhibitions, the assistant assists staff in de-installation and removal of artwork, repairing, painting and cleaning the gallery and installing artwork for exhibition. The GA will also help with maintaining and updating mailing lists in Excel, labeling mailings, updating community calendars with gallery events, organizing storage spaces, updating social media accounts, brainstorming about student events, helping out with special events and will have the opportunity to help with kids art workshops. If qualified, the GA might help write informational handouts such as educational guides.
The Opalka Gallery and its numerous events are open to the public: yoga, films, lectures, dinners, receptions, private events, beer garden events, exhibition-related events and more.
The graduate assistant is provided training and oversight for all activities in order to ensure proper representation of the gallery. From painting walls and pedestals, to inputting information into regional calendars, work is guided and assessed regularly by the staff.

Russell Sage College seeks a Graduate Assistant to work with the Office of Residence Life. The GA will serve as a Graduate Resident Director (GRD) and will reside in an on-campus apartment in Troy in support of the residence program at Russell Sage College.
Duties include:
Hold office hours in the offices of Residence Life;
Serve as a resource and direct the planning and implementation of hall programming by working with the Resident Assistant Staff to guide that process;
Assist with the selection, training, and supervision of student Resident Assistants and residence hall desk workers;
Attend all student and professional staff training sessions;
Participate in the on-call duty rotation for residence staff;
Collaborate with Residence Life staff to facilitate the development of community within the halls;
Assist students with social, academic, and personal adjustments to College;

The Graduate Assistant shall have the following job duties to be performed at the discretion of the Nurse Practitioner:
Drawing and collecting labs, such as STI testing, and following up with the lab to ensure the receipt of patient results;
Assist students in organizing healthy lifestyle choices to practice to enhance their overall wellness;
Assist in student examinations and conduct patient triage by taking vital signs to ensure timely appointments are met; and
Perform research in the area of college health and student wellness.
Health Educator:
The Graduate Assistant will serve under the direct supervision of the Associate Vice President for Student Life for Student Wellness as a Health Educator in the Wellness Center. Desired applicants should have the ability to use and learn software programs that are utilized in the Wellness Center, as well as be disciplined and dedicated to overall student wellness and health education.
