Chapter 30 (Veterans GI Bill®)
Chapter 30 is an educational assistance program available to fully honorably discharged veterans who meet eligibility criteria explained in detail on the Department of Veterans Affairs website.
Applying for Benefits
If this is your first time applying for Chapter 30 benefits you will need to complete VA Form 22-1990 online. If you prefer a paper application refer to VA Forms and Resources at the bottom of this page.
What to Send Russell Sage College VA Certifying Official
- Copy of completed application for Veteran’s Education Benefits (VA Form 22-1990)
- Copy of DD-214 (Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty)
- Certificate of Eligibility (you will receive this from the Buffalo Regional VA office once a determination on your eligibility is made)
