Commencement 2024 – SAVE THE DATE!
Russell Sage College will celebrate our 107th Commencement on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the MVP Arena (formerly known as the Times Union Center) in the city of Albany. Tickets are not needed for this event and graduates do not have a limit on the number of guests they can bring.
All eligible graduates from August 2023, December 2023, May 2024, and anticipated August 2024 and December 2024 graduates who have been approved to “walk” at commencement have received email invitations from the Student Life Office as of March 1 with further details about the ceremony. Note that ALL graduates were required to RSVP by April 1st to indicate if they plan to participate in the ceremony, but guests will not need to do so. Graduates who did not RSVP by April 30th will not be able to participate in the ceremony.
Russell Sage College is pleased to announce that esteemed composer Tania León, winner of the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in Music and a Kennedy Center honoree, will deliver the keynote speech at the 2024 Russell Sage College commencement ceremony. In addition, the college will also award an honorary degree to President Ames, who will retire on June 30 after leading Russell Sage for seven years.
