McKinstry Fitness Center
If you haven’t visited the McKinstry Fitness Center yet, don’t miss out on seeing what everyone is talking about. One visit and you will be hooked!
The fitness center offers members of the Sage Community a complete cardio center – including treadmills, ellipticals, upright bikes, recumbant bikes, steppers and rowers – as well as a life fitness strength circuit and a free weight section. Along with cardio equipment there is a stretching/core stability area where students can improve their flexibility and work on their core strength.
The Recreation and Fitness Department offers a variety of programs open gyms, intramurals, fitness challenges, one-day events, and club sports. All recreation programs are open to the entire Sage community including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and their guests. All programs are based on interest and may change from year to year.
Albany Campus
The Fitstop
Located on the lower level of the Kahl Campus Center, below the Gymnasium, The FITSTOP is home to a complete cardio area with treadmills, ellipticals, bikes and rowers, as well as the Cybex Eagle Strength Circuit made up of 11 machines. The FITSTOP offers a large extensive free weight section. Other amenities at The FITSTOP include color televisions with Cardio Theater, a stereo, 52 square feet of mirrors, lockers, stability balls and discs and group fitness classes.
Current Sage students must present their student ID card. Alumni of The Sage Colleges may also purchase a membership to The FITSTOP.
