- Residence hall access
- Entry to events and activities
- Free fares on all CDTA bus routes
Students, staff, and faculty are required to present a valid Sage ID card to any college official upon request. If your Sage ID card has been lost or stolen, there is a $15 charge to replace it.
How to Create Your ID
1. Go to Passport, and log in using your Sage email and password.
2. Click on Manage Account in the left menu bar.
3. Click on the circle under your name to add or update your ID photo. Select and upload a photo in JPG format that meets the criteria below. Your Sage ID number can be found on this screen, too.
4. You can view your uploaded photo in the window that opens. Select the campus where you want to pick up your Sage ID using the dropdown menu. If needed, click the button to rotate the photo if you need to correct your image, and then click Save.
5. Your photo will be submitted to the college to verify it meets the requirements. Unless you hear otherwise, you can assume that your photo was approved. You will receive email confirmation when your ID card is ready. Pick up your ID at College Services – located in the basement of the Administration Building in Albany and the basement of the John Payne Building in Troy – in the first week of classes. You can also access your Digital ID from Passport. Click on the Digital ID icon on the left menu bar to access your ID from your phone if you forget your card.
Rules for Sage ID Photos
To create your Sage ID card, submit an electronic photograph of yourself. Follow these guidelines to create a suitable “passport-style” photo:
- Clear, forward-facing color photo
- Taken from the shoulders up
- Head and neck centered in the frame
- Solid, light-colored background
- No sunglasses or head-coverings *
- File submitted in .jpg format
