2. Official high school transcript
A strong academic curriculum is required for admission to Sage. Honors and AP coursework is recommended. Please note that some programs such as Nursing, Accelerated DPT and OT, and Accelerated Law programs required a higher GPA. Please contact the Office of Admission for more information. For home-schooled candidates, a record of secondary level IHIPS, including an assessment from the home educator, should be submitted.
3. A personal essay
Any topic that will provide insight into an your personality, traits, or overall background. The goal of the personal essay is for Sage to learn about you in a more subjective manner than provided for by other requirements submitted in the application process. No matter what you choose for your topic, be sure that your essay tells us more about you.
4. Guidance counselor & teacher recommendations
First year students need to submit two letters of recommendation.
5. Portfolio review or audition
(Visual & Performing Arts applicants only)
Students who have taken Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate courses can learn about the test score requirements and course equivalents for Russell Sage College and the test score requirements and course equivalents for Sage College of Albany.
The Sage Colleges takes a holistic approach when evaluating an applicant’s materials. Students are required to submit specific documentation, but are encouraged to share additional information that may be relevant to their application.
