Applicants are required to apply via Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS). RSC participates in both the Fall and Spring cycles of each year. Accepted applicants of the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 application cycle will begin the program in May 2025. The program offers an early admission or pre-select option for Sage DPD students.
Those interested in applying to our ISPP track (for those holding a doctoral degree in nutrition) can access information here.
Pre-Select (Early Admission)
Qualified RSC students have the special opportunity to apply for early admission to the Dietetic Internship and MS-DI programs. Acceptance is provisional based on maintaining an overall and DPD grade-point average of a 3.0 and successful completion of the DPD program. DICAS Instructions
The Russell Sage College Dietetic Internship and MS-DI programs participate in both the fall and spring application cycles. The application for the 2025-2026 academic year opens August 5, 2024. All three application steps must be completed by the applicable deadline for the application to be considered complete.
Fall Application deadline: October 5
Spring application deadline: February 1
Please complete the following 3 application steps:
- Apply electronically via the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS).
- Complete the application release form.
- Pay Russell Sage Dietetic Internship application fee – send by mail
- A check for $40 payable to Russell Sage College. This fee is waived for current RSC students.

Acceptance Process
Notification Day
Students will be notified of their acceptance or rejection on or before via email:
- Fall applicants: November 1
- Spring applicants: March 1
Appointment Day
Accepted applicants must notify the RSC DI Director of their acceptance or withdrawal on or before via email:
- Fall applicants: November 15
- Spring applicants: March 15
Important Applicant Responsibilities
If an applicant does not notify RSC DI Director of acceptance of appointment by stipulated deadline, the applicant forfeits their accepted spot.

Due to the high volume of emails and calls coming in during the second round match process, please allow up to 72 hours for a response from the Dietetic Internship program director.
