Applicants may apply to the onsite and remote tracks of the Dietetic Internship through Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS) in February of each year as part of the spring match. The program offers an early admission or pre-select option for Sage DPD students.

Early Admission (Pre-Select)
Russell Sage College offers a graduate certificate Dietetic Internship program that is housed within the School of Health Sciences. Qualified students have the special opportunity to apply for early admission to the Dietetic Internship and MS/DI programs. Acceptance is provisional based on maintaining an overall and DPD grade-point average of a 3.0 and successful completion of the DPD program. DICAS Instructions
The Russell Sage College’ Dietetic Internship program and MS-DI program only participates in the spring match.
Please complete the following 3 Steps when applying to Russell Sage College’s Dietetic Internship Internship and MS-DI programs:
- Register with D&D Digital, the National Matching Center for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Applicants will prioritize internships for matching. All ranking must be completed by 11:59 Central Time on February 15, 2023.
- Apply electronically via the Dietetic Internship Centralized Application Services (DICAS).
The online application must be completed for our program by 11:59 p.m. CT on February 15, 2023. - Send the following postmarked by Monday, February 15, 2023 to be considered:
- A check for $40.00 payable to Russell Sage College. This fee is waived for current Russell Sage College students.
- Distance Track Only: Russell Sage College Dietetic Internship Remote Track Preceptor Sign-up Form (to be submitted with DICAS application or mailed with check)

Acceptance Process
Notification Day
Applicant Notification Day for the Computer Match process for Spring 2023 will be on April 2, 2023 at 6PM CT. The Dietetic Internship program is not allowed to notify students prior to this date. Students must accept/reject the computer match within 24 hours of Notification Day.
Appointment Day
If matched, you are to email the program director by Monday April 3, 2023 by 6:00 pm EST (time zone of program): [email protected], to confirm the acceptance or rejection of the match. The Dietetic Internship program forwards a confirmation acceptance letter in May. Additional program information and directions pertaining to enrollment into the Russell Sage College’s Dietetic Internship program are forwarded to each new intern at that time, as well as throughout the summer.
Important Applicant Responsibilities
As a participant in the computer matching process, it is expected that applicants who receive a match will adhere to the results of the match and accept that match. It is unacceptable to decline a match in order to pursue an appointment to another supervised practice program.
Second Round Match Instructions
Second round applicants must meet all application criteria for the track in which you are applying to be considered. For distance applicants, all preceptors must be confirmed.
- Fill out the Release Form 2023-2024 and email the director to notify the form is complete: [email protected]
- Release application to Russell Sage College on DICAS (do not email your application) and;
- If applying to the Remote Program, please be sure to also e-mail a copy of the Russell Sage College Dietetic Internship Distance Track Preceptor Sign-up Form.
You will only be required to pay the $40 application fee if you accept an appointment with our program.
Due to the high volume of emails and calls coming in during the second round match process, please allow up to 72 hours for a response from the Dietetic Internship program director.
