In Financial Aid, we focus on counseling graduate and professional students as they navigate their choices on how to best finance their education. We speak with students about funding, which includes Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loans and, if needed, Graduate PLUS loans.
The financial aid office is responsible for processing all federal and private student loans. In addition, we work closely with the Coordinator of Graduate Assistantships to determine student eligibility for Graduate Assistantship positions, which will help reduce tuition costs by receiving a tuition credit and a monthly stipend.
The financial aid office works to ensure that graduate students understand the financial aid process before, during and after graduation. We are always available to meet with students to help determine the best loan options for their needs, review their outstanding loan debt and explain the different repayment options so they can become responsible loan borrowers.
Our mission is to ensure that Russell Sage College graduate students understand the financial aid process when they are in school and are aware of their responsibilities as a loan borrower when they either become alumni or leave the college.
