    Students and alumni can schedule an appointment with the Office of Career Planning on Handshake at http://joinhandshake.com.  Go to the “Career Center” menu and schedule right online!

    Walk-in Wednesdays is an opportunity for students and alumni to meet with a staff member without a prearranged appointment. We host walk-in hours between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in Albany and Troy. Sign in here during those hours at www.sage.edu/walkins, and a staff member will reach out. Note all appointments are walk-ins are virtual at this time.

    Career Exploration

    Some students arrive on campus with an idea of what they wish to major in and do as a career, and others arrive ready to explore their potential majors and careers. We offer the Focus2 Assessment platform to all students.  You can access it by going to www.sage.edu/focus2.  Please contact us  for the  Passcode.

    All students also have access to the video tool, Candid Career. This website allows you to access thousands of videos from real professionals in fields you may be researching. This is a great tool to explore careers and get tips on becoming a professional in a specific industry

    Graduate School

    If you are thinking about applying to and attending graduate school, the Office of Career Planning can assist with the search for appropriate programs, statement of purpose/cover letters, and your resume.

    Volunteering and participating in community service is a great way to gain valuable skills and experience.

    Work Study

    Students looking for positions on-campus, please visit Handshake for postings.  Certain offices will hire for both federal and non-federal work study, and others will require federal-work study.  If you have questions if you are able to get federal work study in your package, contact [email protected].
