What is Service Learning?

Service learning is a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service into courses to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility and strengthen communities. The Sparrell Service Learning Fund, established in 2017, has ensured that students across departments, majors and levels of study partake in service learning courses at Russell Sage College.
